About Northern Ireland

Mennonite missions began in the Republic of Ireland in 1978, extending to Northern Ireland (part of the United Kingdom) in 1987.

Beginning in the 1990s, workers in both the Republic and the North focused on reconciliation and peace ministries, including developing a reconciliation studies program for the Irish School of Ecumenics (Belfast) and Trinity College (Dublin), and working in a cross-community (Protestant and Catholic) project of a Methodist church in West Belfast.
